The Robots are developed by Lego, which you must be familiar with. However do not take them as a simple constructor, they are far more complex than this. They do come in little building blocks, but they are also equipped with colour sensors, sound sensors, touch sensors, infra red and a processor, which is probably more powerful than your laptop's one. There are also tiny solar panels, which make real electricity, servo motors and many more. Welcome to the new era of teaching!
