OUR PROGRAMMES
At CrownCity Tuition we have developed specialised study programmes which aim to develop strong academic skills and sense of confidence.
Maths
We organise Maths learning sessions which ensure our students become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics through frequent practice. We also emphasise on the correct use of mathematical vocabulary.
Our KS2 classes are focusing on whole numbers and the 4 operations, placing value, multiplication tables including 12, fractions, negative numbers and conversion between different units of measure. We aim to build strong foundations for further pregression.
During KS3 students will be solving increasingly sophisticated problems and build on concepts and knowledge gained during the previous key stage. We will be focusing on the development of methematical reasoning and preparation for GCSEs
For the students studying towards their GCSEs and A levels we organise specialised programmes which make them accustomed to workin in test-taking conditions.
English
Our English classes teach our students how to speak and write fluently so that they can communicate their ideas and emotions.
For the KS2 students we put a strong emphasis on all of the elements of the language - word reading and comprehension, transcription and composition, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, punctuation and glossary. Our teaching methods aim to develop students' competence in all dimensions of the English language.
With our older students we continue to develop an appreciation of the skillful use of the written and spoken language through high quality works from English literature including prose, poetry, drama and Shakespeare's plays.
We teach our students how to write for wide range of purposes and audiences and use Standard English confidently in formal and informal contexts.
The Enrichment Programme
This programme develops academic enrichment through frequent practice and increased work load. It is very well structured and organised and offers a complete educational solution including training sessions, homework investigation and revision.
After an initial assessment, the subject leader prepares a personalised learning plan which is designed to improve performance and challenge the academic capacity of the student. We try and push our students so they can become ahead of their class.
The Enrichment Programme consists of 8 visits per month divided into 2 visits each week. Students are assessed by their tutor after each session and parents are provided with a performance summary each fortnight. We offer a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE if the student has not made any progress at the end of the month.
This programme is absolutely perfect for students who are preparing for an exam or a coursework, or have difficulties with a range of topics and concepts, as it offers a month of solid hard work.

The Daily Programme
The Daily Programme provides our students with additional practice and training time to consolidate their knowledge and improve performance. We aim to develop confidence and learning independence through a number of skills.
Students visit us after school to do their homework under the guided supervision of the Subject Leaders. After the homework is done they proceed with extra practice to make sure all the concepts are carefully explained. Towards the end of the session our teachers introduce new topics to make it easier for the students when they come across them in school. Good preparetion is preparation in advance.
The more you practice, the better you become. This is our philosophy and this is what we offer to our students - more practice for better grades and exam results. Our Daily Programme is a gurantee for success!
